Mikkel Alexander (he/him) is an independant choreographer, producer and movement artist based in Copenhagen, Denmark. His professional experience spans a dynamic range of roles, including performing with Johannes Härtl, dancing with Cia. Nadine Gerspacher in Barcelona, serving as a full-time company member with Holstebro Dance Company, and collaborating with Pernille Garde Stage Art and Bobbi Lo Production in Sweden.
At the age of 18, Mikkel Alexander founded a youth-driven theatre association sparking his journey as a creator merging his multidisciplinary background in music and theatre. In summer 2023, he showcased his talent as a choreographer at CPH-MADE, collaborating with dancers from the Royal Ballet, Tivoli Ballet, and Danish Dance Theatre in a production hosted at the Royal Playhouse in Copenhagen. The same year he received the Margarita Arnaudova Award for his choreographic work Oblivious Days, performed by Ballet Arabesque at the National Musical Theatre in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Latest Mikkel Alexander premiered his production Grey Zone at TeaterFÅR302 in Copenhagen, which was nominated for Best Dance Performance by CPH-CULTURE. He was commissioned by Holstebro Dance Company to choreograph the national touring piece "Dancing on my own" in Denmark, and was nominated Best Dancer (2026) at the Reumert Awards for his role in Elverhøj by Aarhus Theatre.
